What do i do about clothes that smell after washing? what causes the smell and how do i remove the smell?

If they smell like soap, change soap brands to a smell you like.

If they smell kinda moldy, don't let them sit in the washing machine too long.

You can usually get rid of any bad smells with a drier sheet or two when you put the clothes in the drier. What do i do about clothes that smell after washing? what causes the smell and how do i remove the smell?
When you leave the clothes in the washing machine after it's finished, it causes a smell. Forgot the word. Get rid of it with febreeze, or if you have a dryer there is stuff you can put in to make your clothes smell nicer. Or, get some clothes softener and soak a cloth in it and stick it in with your clothes. This will make the rest of your clothes smell nice.

Or.... you could get a new washing machine? :)What do i do about clothes that smell after washing? what causes the smell and how do i remove the smell?
If you leave clothes in the washing machine after 2 or 3 days then they will start to smell sour. You should not leave clothes in the washer no later than a day. Otherwise you will have to wash them all over again. Just put them into the washer again and add a good amount of laundry detergent to the clothes. The clothes will be fine once you wash them over again.
Try arm %26amp; hammer detergent. It has baking soda in it. My husband works on airplanes outside, and between the chemicals that get on his clothes and the sweat (in the summer) his clothes can get pretty awful smelling. If you are unable to find arm %26amp; hammer brand detergent, add some baking soda to the wash. (directions will be on the box for the amount to add)

I don't know what 'smell' you are talking about, but baking soda should do the trick. The only other thing that might work is Febreeze... but it might leave visible oil spots.
Don't quite know what smell you are talking about...but if they are whites..add a little extra...bleach..I found that the Oxy clean products work very well. There is also Borix or Boric acid which is pretty good. If it is in all of your clothes it may be the water that you are using to wash them or some type of body odor that you may have gotten used too and can only smell when it is altered by the washing.
Hey mate, if your clothes smell worse than before you washed them in the machine then don't bother washing them at all ... just keep wearing them :-)
usualy mildew pets or the soap you use causes smell.get rid of it with febreeze.
If you leave your clothes sitting in the washing machine for ages after the load has finished, they start to smell, but to get that smell out all you have to do is wash them again.
Honey, if you wash your clothes and they still smell, wash them again. If after the second washing, they still smell, throw them away!! But before you do this, make sure that you're using enough detergent and make sure that it has a nice scent. Good luck, smelly clothes!
